Limited Warranty
Majestic Millwork is a manufacturer of custom solid wood doors. Doors are warranteed for the period of one year from the date of purchase to be of good workmanship and material, free from defects that render them unserviceable or unfit for the use to which they were intended. If doors are found to possess defects which make them unsuitable to the use of the owner, and requirements for the warranty (listed below) have been followed, the door will be repaired, replaced in the original unfinished condition in which they were delivered, or refunded at the option of Majestic Millwork. Majestic Millwork is a supplier and is not an installer. Materials should be checked for defect at the time of delivery. The warranty does not cover hanging at the job site, or installation of any kind. The warranty applies to the original owner only and is not transferrable under any circumstances. Acceptance of doors is acceptance of the terms of this warranty.
Warranty Requirements
1-
Doors are to be sealed on all six sides within two weeks of delivery. Proof of sealing is required.
2-
Doors will be stored in a closed in building on a flat solid surface in a temperature and humidity controlled location. Doors exposed to dramatic changes in temperatures and/or humidity may expand, crack, or spot and will not be covered by the limited warranty. Doors should be stored in locations with humidity between 10% and 55%.
Warranty Exclusions
1-
All 1 3/8” thick doors which are wider than 3’0” and taller than 7’0”
2-
All 1 ¾” thick doors which are wider than 3’6” and taller than 8’0”
3-
The appearance of finished doors in any circumstance. Doors are delivered unfinished and should be sanded lightly with 150 grit or higher before finishing. Finish should be tested on a wood sample which will be supplied at customer request. Natural variations in color and texture of wood is normal and is not considered a defect.
4-
All fully horizontal grain solid wood doors.
5-
Doors that are improperly hung or do not swing freely.
6-
All door orders are custom, and changes in customer preference of door style or wood specie are not covered.
Warp Tolerances
1-
Warp shall not be considered a defect unless it exceeds ¼” in the plane of the door itself, and is limited to the sizes specified in the warranty exclusions. Warp due to bow, cup, or twist will be measured with a straight edge or taut wire or string against the suspected concave face of the door in the open installed position or on a flat surface and will be measured at the maximum distance between the two.

Action of any claim of warp may be deferred for a period of up to, but not exceeding, 11 months from date of claim to permit the door to condition itself to the temperature and/or humidity of the location of said door.
